What Is FitFun Couch To 5K?
Our experienced coaches volunteer to help locals get healthier through the FitFun Couch To 5K community initiative. Over 10 weeks, we guide you through a training plan that starts with short jogs and walking, gradually building up to a 5K run. We provide all the support and motivation you need to succeed.
Who Can Join FitFun Couch To 5k On The HillyFields?
Our program is ideal for beginners, former runners, and anyone looking to start running safely. We know it can be hard to get started, but with our support, you can do it! In fact, we’ve helped hundreds of people become confident runners. No prior running experience is needed.
Why It Works
We make exercise accessible and fun. Furthermore, starting slowly helps build your confidence and reduces the risk of injury. Additionally, each week, you’ll see progress, starting with one-minute jogs in the first week, and gradually increasing. We celebrate each milestone with you, keeping you motivated.
Hillyfields Course Details
– Start Date: Thursday, October 3rd
– Duration: 10 weeks
– Location: Brockley Hillyfields
– Sessions: Every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
– Final Run: December 7th, 9 a.m. at Brockley Hillyfields Parkrun
We’ll also give you a training plan with independent workouts to keep you on track. Additionally, you’ll have access to our coaches for any questions or advice.
How To Register
Our Couch to 5K course is free, but we limit spots to 100 participants. You must attend the first three sessions and complete at least 80% of the course.
