Darren: I founded FitFunActive in 2011 because the traditional gym setting just isn’t right for everyone, Me included! I wanted to create a different experience that makes health and fitness so much more fun – and accessible – for everybody.

I believe firstly that someone is more likely to want to do something if they enjoy it. Likewise, if they don’t then they won’t. Therefore enjoyment is a recurring theme in all the work we do with our clients. Where personal training is concerned I believe it is about having an expert guiding you through your entire programme of health and fitness. This includes your training inside and outside of the gym. As well as your diet, lifestyle and all support to ensure that you are in full health. At the same time what really excites me every day is helping to make a difference. Having a positive influence on peoples lives. As well as seeing the effect a fit and healthy lifestyle has on a person. These give me the utmost satisfaction.

Success in helping his clients to achieve their goals is what drives Darren. So much so that he has a very extensive portfolio of great results. One of the major contributing factors for his success is that he provides fun, effective and efficient workouts. Plus, the nutritional advice that he gives is personalised to his clients needs. Consequently, these factors positively influence the results he gets time after time. In particular, fat loss is a process that many people struggle with. For a large number of them, this remains an elusive goal. However, when you train with Darren, you are coached on how to effectively burn body fat. He does this work based upon a series of key scientific principles. Both from a diet and fitness perspective. He is very knowledgable and his depth expertise is evident in his style and approach.

Following your initial consultation, Darren will develop your bespoke training plan. Designed to be progressive, the plan will take you through all aspects of fitness development. This will make sure that you are not just leaner, but also stronger, more flexible, more stable and more agile.
